After my email the other day, it got me thinking about recent offers I've purchased. I've been focused on YouTube, and YouTube is my focus for next year. There are two coaches that I'm following to get support around this. One coach offers a 90-day group coaching program. My plan is to join that in January 2025... But I had the opportunity to join her program right now, at a discount. I didn't join. Why? Because now isn't the right time as we're about to move overseas (4 days before we fly!). (Side note: I want you to really pay attention to what I just wrote here. I tell my Cultivate members all the time that we do NOT control when people buy. I have every intention of joining this coaches group program, but only when the time is right for me...) Now the other coach I'm following is in the process of developing his YouTube coaching offers. And this week, he sent an email out about a new offer he wanted to test. The offer? An audit of my YouTube channel for only $97! It was exactly what I needed, but I hadn't been thinking about that until he presented it. So why did I buy? The offer was something immediate? It's asynchronous for the first part. I bought the upsell too, which is a 45-minute strategy session (for an additional $197) to help implement whatever the audit uncovers. The whole interaction was so easy for me to make a decision because:
And both offers were no-brainers. $97 for the audit and $197 for the strategy call. I bought both because I was just like, I can absolutely use these offers even with the travel that I'm doing. My point is, if you are genuinely wanting to help your audience right now, what is it that you can present them that will help them right now? It's not going to be a course or something like that. This type of "eyes on what your audience is doing" offer works so well, particularly if you are
And it doesn't have to be an audit! It could literally be a review of someone's meal plan, or a review of their decluttering habits (or lack of), like whatever it is that you offer. Being able to come up to them and say, "Here is something that I can do for you right now," and it's asynchronous for you... meaning you don't have to do anything live... how is that not a win:win?! Here's why I like this type of offer. You don't have to create something brand new. You're literally going to record a Loom video or a Zoom video. You could do that and then offer either an order bump, right on the checkout page, or an upsell after they buy. So you could do either scenario where they could get some one-on-one time with you. I thought, "This is brilliant". It was exactly what I needed right now. I actually responded back to their email and said, "This is exactly what I need right now." Now if you are wanting to limit the amount of spots (because you also have to think about availability), they also did this. They said there were 10 spots available at this discounted price, because they're testing to see if this is something that people actually want. You could also frame it in that way too. I really feel like if you are struggling to come up with what you might be able to do right now—between now and Christmas—or between Christmas and New Year, this could be something that could work for you. And it's so low effort that it wouldn't take very long to do. Just something to think about...
